Music Box Theatre
I spent several years working at Music Box Theatre as a manager, and continue to be a frequent patron as well as a freelance designer and photographer for my favorite venue in the city. My work has covered local print advertisements, in-theater big screen advertisements, film festival brochures and attendee materials, event photography, membership program items, gift cards, admission and concession passes, branding and decals.
Music Box Theatre has advertised for holiday events and specials, the membership program, Lounge & Garden offerings, and a variety of festivals curated by the remarkable staff. Many of these ads have included my own photography.
Patrons collect film festival brochures that lay out showtimes, dates and film descriptions. These are widely distributed throughout the theater and lounge, as well as local businesses. Notable festivals include the annual Noir City Chicago and 70mm Film Festival, and unique offerings like the David Lynch Retrospective.
Additional branding materials consist of pre-show slides projected on screen to advertise holiday gift packages, branded decal for entrance to Garden in the back of the Lounge, concession and admission passes, membership and gift cards, as well as marketing materials for signup and purchase.
